Martineau Gardens is a charity-run community garden just two miles from Birmingham city centre. We grow organically, welcome volunteers, host educational sessions, and provide a peaceful space for families, schools and wildlife lovers to explore, learn and reconnect with nature.
Our team combines professional grounds maintenance with a welcoming volunteer culture. We prioritise biodiversity, accessibility and sustainability, offering therapeutic horticulture and education programmes that support wellbeing while inviting the community to participate in garden care and learning together here daily.

Yes — we offer free, no-obligation quotes for all work. We'll visit your property, assess the job, and provide a clear written estimate before you commit to anything.
For most gardens, a fortnightly cut throughout the growing season — roughly March through to October — keeps things looking their best. We can arrange regular maintenance visits to suit your garden and schedule.
We clear and take away all green waste as part of our service. Your garden is left neat and tidy — no clippings, cuttings, or bags left behind for you to deal with.
Yes, we hold full public liability insurance. You can have complete peace of mind knowing all work carried out on your property is properly covered.
Both — we're happy to help with one-off tidy-ups, seasonal clearances, and individual projects, as well as setting up a regular ongoing maintenance programme. There's no pressure to commit to anything long-term.
